Kobudo Course with Sensei Moledzki 7th Dan |

Its always a joy to welcome Moledzki Sensei back to the UK. His experience in all things Budo is truely extensive and his charasmatic approach to teaching students of all ages and ability is second to none.

We asked a tall order from Moledzki Sensei to introduce 3 Kobudo weapons to almost 100 students from beginner to black belt. The weapons were namely Bo Tonfa and Nunchaku. We started with bo and spent 2 hours easliy on being introduced to the fundamentals followed by basics - and ippon kumite drills. |

Nunchaku next! A scary start which had students holding a bo upright while their partner thrashed at it with their nunchaku. Health and safety would have had a fir as bits of Bo flew everywhere!! |
Next we picked up the Tonfas and again Sensei spoke at length about the history and possible origins of the weapon before explaining the basics. Again we performed a number of drills before being a taugt a simple kihon kata.
The 3 hour seminar quickly went into its 4 hour and then 5th but know one was complaining. The time so quickly and was finished all too soon.
Everyone in attendance thoroughly enjoyed the experience and look forward to seeing Sensei return next year. |
