Ken Yu Kai Open Championships 2008     13-04-2008
A week after the national championships and the KSE squad were on the road again - this time it was the 2nd Ken Yu Kai Open Championships in Manchester.
The 12 strong team were all looking forward to another day of stiff competition and they were not to be dissapointed.
The team included Josie Reynolds - Naomi Marshall - Lisa Marfell - Yasmin Lee - Danielle Lee - Morgan Winstanley - Jordan Dyer - Finley Winstanley - Daniel Wignall - Jahnar James - and Melissa Clayton. Those in the medal placings were..Naomi - Josie and Yasmin who all achieved bronze medal in the individual kumite events and jointly in the girls 11 - 14 yrs team kumite event. Team mates Danielle - Melissa and Lisa secured silver in the girls 15 - 17 years team kumite. Our congratulations go to all the the team with thanks again to the parents who supported so well and the coaches who ran around the mats all day.
