Summer Day Camp 2008 |

This was our second fund raising event, organised in aid of our team of young athletes hoping to achieve their goal of comepeting in the 25th Copa Murayama karate championships in Monterrey, Mexico. |
The fourteen paticipants named below had a full day of events orgainsied by Sensei Brian, designed to keep them busy, challenged and entertained!
Our youngest competitors were Masie Sheppered and Emma Waites, 6. Our eldest, Paul Goodman - 29. |
Paul had dashed back from a Bournemouth stag night to support the event - a fantastic gesture.
The 14 were divided into 2 teams, Red captained by Naomi Marshall and the Blues captained by Paul. |
Both teams competed in football, swimming, soft-ball and tag rugby as well as kata, kumite and board breaking. Each event carried points and the final score of 477 - 412 saw the Blue team claim victory.
