XXV Copa Murayama 2008     26-10-2008
Seven SMA students made the Murayama UK national team this year and travelled to Monterrey Mexico to take part in the 25th Murayama Cup. Everyone on the team came back with at least one medal - some even achieved 3!

The Friday saw the team training with 4 Japanese masters namely Uchiage Sensei teaching Goju Ryu Kata Kururunfa. Next was Genzo Iwata Sensei teaching Shito Ryu Suparinpei followed by Murayama Sensei teaching Nanban Sattoryu Kenpo and finally Sasaki Sensei teaching Shotokan Kusanku Dai.
The UK had the biggest foreign team with 16 competitors- all of whom trained extremely hard for the competition. My sincere congratulations to the team members - their family and friends and anyone else who helped make this trip possible.
