28 students and 3 instructors met at STR dojo for a day of friendly sportsmanship and fun. The 28 were divided into 4 teams and competed in a number of disciplines including karate, swimming, soft ball and football. Though the weather wasn't brilliant we managed to dodge the showers and enjoyed a great day.
Thanks to my assistants Dona and Dani. Also, to the team captains Robert, Chris, Morgan and Luke who was celebrating his 15 birthday that day! Thanks for sharing your birthday cake Luke and well done to everyone who took part and did their best. |

Double Sunday Success - 27-06-2010 |
|
|
54 students attended the Kyu grade exam yesterday with ages ranging from 5 to 30 and levels from 14th kyu to 1st kyu. It was extremely hot in the dojo with temperatures reaching 30 degrees by early afternoon.
Despite a late start due to the centre manager not arriving until 9.45am we quickly got matters underway, the final exam finishing just after 2pm.
A 100% success rate was achieved and our congratulations go to all who took part as well as our appreciation to the parents for their continued support and commitment to their children's development.
